On September 21, 2021, during the 76th United Nations General Assembly, President Xi Jinping introduced the Global Development Initiative. This initiative urges the international community to prioritize development issues and accelerate the implementation of the United Nations' 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Guided by key cooperation projects in critical sectors, Chinese central state-owned enterprises (SOEs) actively address the practical needs of developing countries, translate plans into tangible actions, and rally a wide range of efforts to support global development. In partnership with China Daily, the News Center of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council has launched a special report titled 'Global Development Initiative in Action - Chinese Central SOEs Leading the Way'. It shares inspiring narratives of central SOEs aligning with global development trends, fulfilling their roles as modern Chinese enterprises, and advancing development outcomes that benefit people worldwide.
