Explore Hainan: How to get a temporary driving permit

A legal DRIVE in Hainan province for overseas motor vehicle drivers is POSSIBLE！

Overseas (including Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan) drivers entering for a short-term stay are eligible to apply for a temporary motor vehicle driving permit with a validity period of three months. If the period of stay exceeds three months, the validity period can be extended to one year.

WHAT documents are necessary for the application?
☆ Passport or other valid entry & exit ID
☆ Foreign driver’s license with certified Chinese translation
☆ Two recent 1-inch color photos (white background, half-body, full-face, bareheaded)
