The Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region recently announced the sixth batch of institutional innovation achievements from the China (Guangxi) Pilot Free Trade Zone. These include 20 reform pilot experiences and 25 best practice cases, focusing on trade facilitation, financial openness, green and low-carbon development, cross-border cooperation, and digital trade.
The latest innovations emphasize pioneering, integrated, and replicable measures. Notable achievements include efficient customs logistics, financial breakthroughs, enhanced cross-border cooperation, emerging industries, and streamlined government services.
These innovations align with the Belt and Road Initiative, the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor, and the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
The Qinzhou Port Area's integrated rail-sea container transport reform has boosted the cargo volume of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor by 25 percent, while Chongzuo Area opened the first land-based hazardous goods export port in Guangxi, facilitating access to ASEAN markets.
Moving forward, Guangxi aims to promote these reforms across the region and utilize the free trade zone as a model for further reform and opening-up.
