The 2025 Guilin Half Marathon kicked off on March 16, attracting 16,000 runners from five countries and regions. Participants were treated to the breathtaking spring scenery of the city's iconic misty landscapes.
The half marathon started at Guilin Central Square, with runners passing through the notable landmarks like Elephant Trunk Hill, East West Street, and Xiaoyao Building, all amidst picturesque surroundings.
The race concluded with a participant from Ili, Xinjiang, claiming the men's half marathon title with a time of 1 hour, 5 minutes, and 19 seconds. A participant from Guilin, Guangxi, won the women's half marathon in 1 hour, 20 minutes, and 50 seconds.
Guilin planned to host two marathons in March and November this year. The race in November is expected to highlight the golden autumn views of the city, further cementing Guilin's reputation as a premier destination for both sports and natural beauty.
