Event matches intangible cultural heritage with tourism

A business matching event for intangible cultural heritage inheritors and players in the field of tourism took place at the Beijing Intangible Cultural Center on Wednesday.

Hosted by the Beijing Municipal Culture and Tourism Bureau, the event was designed to broaden the channels for cultural heritage development, according to the authorities.

On the occasion of the third anniversary of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, this event incorporated elements of ice and snow art in a cultural experience that blended traditional beauty and modern vitality.

More than 50 representatives, including those from the travel industry, cultural heritage inheritors and members of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics operations team attended the event.

Several intangible cultural heritage projects that were party of the Winter Olympics were on display, allowing attendees hands-on experiences in the making of Beijing dough figurines, velvet flowers, painted opera masks, shadow puppetry, and woodblock printing.
