Permanent residence cardholders access more convenient services in Wuxi

Holders of foreign permanent residence cards, also known as the "Five-Star Card", in Wuxi, Jiangsu province, now experience an enhanced quality of life following the broadening of application scenarios for their cards.

"The application scenarios for the Five-Star Card are very diverse, and it has made my life more convenient," said a Swiss cardholder. With the card, he can complete hotel check-ins in just 10 seconds, quickly pass through high-speed rail barriers, and swiftly enter scenic spots.

The Five-Star Card provides convenience to its holders when purchasing property, transportation tickets, cars, medical insurance, or retirement.

With the Five-Star Card, foreign residents can also handle water, electricity, and gas account openings, use the Taihu Transport Card, obtain a health certificate, directly sign tourism contracts for group tours, and apply for "Act of Valor" rewards. The Lingxi app, a public service platform in Wuxi, has also added a "Service Area for Foreigners".

Starting last year, the exit and entry administration of the city's public security bureau has implemented measures to facilitate visa processing, including extending visa validity, increasing the number of entries, simplifying application materials, and streamlining certification procedures.

To date, through these facilitative measures, Wuxi has processed visa documents for nearly 100 foreign nationals from over 50 companies and organizations. This initiative has garnered unanimous praise from companies and top-tier foreign talents.
