Pepino melons become 'Golden Fruits' of prosperity in Jiuquan

Recently in Jiuquan, Gansu province, visitors to the greenhouse facilities at the Desert Ecological Agricultural Park in Jinta town, Jinta county were greeted by a sea of golden yellow.

Beneath lush green vines hung numerous plump, well-rounded pepino melons also known as sweet cucumbers or melon pears. Farmers were busy harvesting the ripened fruits, creating a bustling scene of abundance.

In recent years, Jinta county has leveraged its natural advantages through scientific planning to vigorously develop modern facility agriculture. The county has been promoting high-efficiency and brand-oriented agricultural production, using rural industry revitalization to drive overall rural prosperity.

By continuously optimizing high-efficiency agricultural sectors and developing specialty fruit and vegetable industries, more and more farmers are filling their wallets through these "produce baskets."
