Wu Xinming, Party secretary of Nantong in Jiangsu province, met with Rohit Aggarwal, CEO of Austria's Lenzing Group, on Feb 17 to discuss further cooperation.
Wu welcomed Aggarwal and his delegation. He mentioned that Nantong is an important birthplace of China's modern textile industry, with high-end textiles being part of the national advanced manufacturing cluster. The Yangtze River Delta region where Nantong is located is a key hub for textile research, manufacturing, and key markets in China and worldwide.
He also noted that Lenzing Group leads globally in the research and production of cellulose fibers and has been cooperating with Nantong for nearly 30 years, indicating broad prospects for deepening cooperation between the two parties.
He welcomed the group's continued business expansion in China and emphasized the importance of deepening cooperation with Nantong in building supply chains and technological innovation. Wu also promised that Nantong is set to continue to create a favorable environment, provide efficient services, and support businesses in achieving better development.
Aggarwal introduced the Lenzing Group's development, expressing admiration for Nantong's beautiful environment and profound history. He said that Lenzing Group is confident in China's and Nantong's development and is eager to further exchanges and cooperation with Nantong in the textile industry to jointly promote the industry's upgrading and make new contributions to Nantong's high-quality development.
