Colorful Dunhuang unfolds vibrant Spring Festival

During Spring Festival, Dunhuang in Gansu province hosted a series of vibrant activities that drew in locals, tourists, and even international guests, allowing them to experience the region's unique culture and festive atmosphere.

At the Dunhuang Convention and Exhibition Center, the ongoing "Cultural and Ice-Snow Carnival" captivated ice and snow enthusiasts. Alongside traditional skiing and ice skating facilities, the event featured nearly 100 thrilling ice and snow activities, such as snow tanks, snow giant octopuses, ice hockey, ice carts, ice tops, and ice sledding, providing a rich and varied experience for visitors.

Moreover, Dunhuang also organized a special performance of traditional folk culture, known as Shehuo in scenic areas, showcasing the region's intangible cultural heritage. Amid the festive sound of drums, the lively dragon dances, lion dances, and traditional folk performances delighted the audience, vividly presenting Dunhuang's cultural charm.
