3. Pingyao Ancient City Culture International Tourism Festival

The Ancient City of Pingyao is a well-preserved 14th-century-style county-level city in Pingyao, Central Shanxi province. The area consists of three main sections: the city within the walls of Pingyao, Shuanglin Temple (6 kilometers southwest of the county seat), and Zhenguo Temple (12 kilometers northeast of the county seat).

The festival promotes traditional culture while blending it seamlessly with modern elements. It offers a captivating journey through time, inviting tourists to participate in a range of engaging activities. Immerse yourself in the traditional welcome ceremonies, witness marriage proposals with embroidered balls tossed from a tower, observe courtroom sessions presided over by the magistrate, and marvel at treasures presented at the Imperial Edict Hall.
