Exciting news! On Dec 26, Beijing’s Zhengyangmen Gate Arrow Tower officially opened its doors to visitors. As a key landmark of Beijing’s ancient city wall system, this iconic structure offers a glimpse into the city's rich history and culture.
Located at the northern end of Qianmen Street, the tower dates back to 1439. Covering 0.21 hectares, it’s a must-see for history enthusiasts and cultural explorers alike.
This opening follows the inclusion of Beijing’s Central Axis on the World Heritage List in July. Zhengyangmen is one of the 15 heritage elements that form this UNESCO-recognized cultural treasure.
