Dunhuang, a cultural gem in the desert, was a vital hub on the ancient Silk Road. Now, the Lishui Museum in Zhejiang invites you to embark on a captivating journey through the exhibition Silk Road Odyssey: Dunhuang and Beyond.
By showcasing replicas of Dunhuang murals, Buddhist scriptures, Han Dynasty (206 BC-AD 220) slips and stories of Zhejiang scholars who were dedicated to preserving and studying Dunhuang’s treasures, the exhibition not only highlights Dunhuang’s historical and cultural significance but also connects the shared heritage between Dunhuang and Zhejiang.
