In recent years, the region has hosted various winter activities, including fun snow sports experiences for the public, youth-focused ice and snow classes and free skiing programs for young people.

As ice and snow tourism gains popularity, local communities have reaped significant benefits.

Residents who once idled away winters have now embraced a busy winter lifestyle. In Xinqi village, nearly 10,000 locals have taken up winter tourism jobs, working as ski instructors, snowmakers and hotel staff.
