In 1989, a remarkable Shang Dynasty (c.16th century-11th century BC) tomb was unearthed in Xingan county, Jiangxi province. Known for its exquisite bronze artifacts and iconic tiger-shaped relics, the tomb is believed to belong to the king of a state that grew up along the Gan River.
Starting from Dec 20, Jiangxi Provincial Museum invites you to explore the grandeur of ancient southern China through the blockbuster Tigers Roaring in Jiangnan: The Xingan Tomb and the Bronze Kingdom permanent exhibition. Incredible treasures unearthed from the Xingan tomb will be on display, offering a vivid glimpse into the splendor of a bygone royal city.
