The 28th Changchun Ice and Snow Festival kicked off on Tuesday at the Changchun Ice and Snow New World park in the capital of Jilin province.
Co-hosted by the Changchun municipal government and the Jilin Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, the festival includes immersive performances and interactive experiences to showcase the city's unique charm.
Over 200 ice and snow sculptures are distributed in three main themed areas in the park, including dreamy ice and snow buildings and various lifelike animated characters.
Thrill-seekers have an abundance of options at the park, with over 70 ice and snow slides, including a 1,314-meter-long aerial snow drift and a 520-meter-long ice slide.
A series of ice and snow performances will be held throughout the winter, including exotic-themed shows, traditional opera performances and a Blizzard Disco.
