The "Star Shines Chang'an" 2024 Xi'an Commercial and Trade Service Star Challenge, organized by the Xi'an Municipal Bureau of Commerce, concluded on Dec 16 in Xi'an, Shaanxi province, Northwest China.
The competition honored five gold medal service managers, five gold medal service stars, five outstanding skill stars and five ethical role models.
Liu Hongtao, head of the Commercial and Trade Service Industry Department of Xi'an Municipal Bureau of Commerce, said that the competition had raised awareness of service excellence and enhanced industry skills. It has significantly improved overall service quality in the sector, contributing to the high-quality development of Xi'an's commercial and trade industry while further strengthening the city's appeal as an investment destination, Liu added.
More than 300 representatives from commercial enterprises participated in the competition, which covered various service sector categories, including supermarket retail, branded catering, chain hotels and home services.
Following registration, expert evaluations and a series of offline service skills contests, the gold medal service stars were selected.
"I hope more business enterprises and individuals will look to the award winners as role models, enhance their own services and strive to become gold medal service representatives of Xi'an's business community," said Liu. "Together, we can drive industry development and attract more domestic and international enterprises to invest and collaborate in Xi'an."
At the event, representatives from participating enterprises took an oath, committing to continue to uphold the spirit of "gold medal service" and to contribute to the growth and prosperity of Xi'an's commercial sector with professional skills and high-quality services.
