The much-anticipated finals of the 2024 Xi'an International Entrepreneurship Competition concluded on Dec 11 in Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province.
Since its launch in August, the competition has attracted outstanding teams from across the globe. After rigorous qualifiers and semi-finals, 40 exceptional projects advanced to the final.
The memristor-based signal conditioning chip project and the no-medium holographic human-computer interaction terminal project won the top awards in the early-stage and growth-stage categories, respectively.
This year's competition featured three tracks focused on Xi'an's modern industrial system and priority industrial chains: information technology and artificial intelligence, high-end equipment manufacturing and new materials, and biotechnology and pharmaceuticals. Compared to previous years, the projects showcased significant advancements in innovation, core technological strength, and market potential.
The organizing committee enhanced services by connecting participants with incubation platforms, investment institutions, and other critical resources. Seven projects have secured funding, and 14 are considering settling in Xi'an.
The event also brought together venture capital and technology service firms, fostering partnerships and streamlining financing and technology integration pathways.
Over its eight-year journey, the Xi'an International Entrepreneurship Competition has evolved into a global emblem of entrepreneurship, attracting over 10,000 projects from 34 countries and 60 domestic cities. This platform has nurtured groundbreaking startups, driven innovation, and bolstered Xi'an's growth as a hub for entrepreneurial excellence.
