Xi'an's highly anticipated "Xi'an Tree" was officially unveiled on Dec 9, marking the grand opening of the Xi'an MixC Mall. The new project offers residents a fresh shopping and entertainment experience.

Nearly 200 new stores, including regional and city-first brands, flagship stores, and concept shops, comprise almost half of the mall's offerings. Foodies will also find a range of options, with 80 percent of the dining outlets being Michelin-starred or Black Pearl-rated restaurants and new flagship locations.

Located in the Xi'an CBD International Cultural and Commercial Center in Qujiang New District, the "Xi'an Tree" is a key part of this ambitious development. It covers 138 mu (9.2 hectares) with a total investment of 9 billion yuan ($124.28 million).

The complex includes four 150-meter-high buildings and a sprawling 565,000-square-meter area.

The "Xi'an Tree" is 57 meters tall and features 60 giant leaf-shaped extensions. It is designed to reflect the diverse landscapes and ecosystems of the Eurasian continent. Inspired by the ancient ginkgo tree at the Guanyin Temple in Xi'an, the structure symbolizes nature's beauty and the power of life's continuity.

The "Xi'an Tree" will begin offering public reservations from Dec 11 and will run throughout the year. Visitors will then be able to experience the stunning light and shadow show created by Hollywood's Territory Studio.
