Numerous domestic and foreign journalists recently visited the Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone (Optics Valley of China, or OVC), learning about the development of OVC's technology industry, and bringing widespread attention to it.
In a recent Hubei media tour, over 10 journalists from countries like Japan, Vietnam, and Hungary, as well as Chinese regions such as Hong Kong and Macao, captured photos of millennia-old culture colliding with modern technology in Wuhan.
At the Wuhan Guanggu Suspended Monorail, journalists snapped photos nonstop. The suspended monorail is China's fist suspended monorail system, with its first route opening in September 2023. It has since become a popular Wuhan landmark.

A journalist from Vietnam Central Television, reporting from the Wuhan Guanggu Suspended Monorail, said to Vietnamese viewers: "Below the suspended monorail is transparent glass, allowing people to witness a variety of scenery as the rail moves, showcasing beautiful views in all seasons."
In OVC, journalists also visited the Research Institute of New Energy, Wuhan – the largest green biomimetic building in China. It recycles wind energy into electricity, generating 1,300 kilowatt-hours of power daily. A journalist from Hungary's The World and China magazine expressed his fascination at seeing such architecture for the first time.
At the Longlasting Civilization: Intelligent Society VR Experience Hall, journalists donned VR glasses, transcending historical and futuristic intelligent social scenarios and experiencing the evolution of Chinese civilization and future societal development models.
During a dialogue session between domestic and foreign journalists, Chinese academicians shared the development history and future prospects of artificial intelligence (AI) with the journalists. At the event, journalists from China and abroad also engaged in lively discussions on the impact the development of AI will have on people's lives and work.
