Datong selected as hotspot city for Intl cultural communication in 2024

Datong, a city in North China's Shanxi province, has been recognized for its millennia-old architectural beauty in the "2024 Chinese Cultural Symbols International Communication Index" report unveiled at the Internet Culture Exchange Forum during the 2024 World Internet Conference Wuzhen Summit.

From October 2023 to October 2024, the report analyzed over 4,000 international mainstream media outlets, various overseas social media platforms, and search engines for Chinese cultural content symbols.

Featuring comprehensive analysis and selection of various indicators of international Chinese cultural communication, the report represents key elements of Chinese culture with high recognition and impact on a global scale.

Among the selected Chinese cities are Shanghai, Harbin in Heilongjiang, Tianshui in Gansu, Quanzhou in Fujian, Altay in Xinjiang, Beijing, and Datong in Shanxi.
