The World Go Park, located at the southern foot of Lanke Mountain in Kecheng district, Quzhou, was completed on Dec 5.
With a total investment of 363 million yuan ($49.89 million), the park covers an area of 78,300 square meters and has a total construction area of 39,200 square meters. It features a core building, a visitor center, a landmark building, corridors, and other supporting facilities.
The World Go Exhibition Hall is the largest new building in the park and is located at its very heart. This distinct structure was built using several construction techniques that are at the forefront of domestic and international standards.

Go, also known as weiqi in Chinese, is a strategic board game for two players where the aim is to surround more territory on the board than the opponent using black and white stones.
The park is meant to become a comprehensive Go-themed cultural and tourism park, offering a variety of attractions and services such as study tours, training camps, educational research, cultural and creative products, food experiences, and exhibition and collection halls.
It will enhance the quality of scenic resources, enrich the local historical and cultural atmosphere, and promote the spread of Go culture.
