The 5th Western Digital Economy Expo opened on Dec 5 at the Xi'an International Convention and Exhibition Center in Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province.
The event, which runs until Dec 7, draws over 700 participants, including international delegations from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan, as well as government leaders, industry associations, and entrepreneurs.
The expo, centered on the theme "Digital Silk Road, Integration, and Innovation", emphasizes international collaboration and practical applications in the digital economy. It combines conferences, exhibitions, and competitions to showcase cutting-edge achievements.
Highlights include the China-Foreign Digital Economy Cooperation Forum, thematic industry discussions, and the launch of the Digital Culture and Tourism Innovation Competition. These activities will offer a platform for exchanging insights and promoting partnerships in the digital sector.
Key exhibits include international cooperation displays, innovative showcases, and digital economy development achievements, reflecting Xi'an's active role in building a Belt and Road digital cooperation platform. Companies from Italy, Iran, and Kazakhstan will present partnership proposals, while domestic giants such as Huawei, Alibaba, and China Mobile will showcase advanced technologies.
Xi'an signed 14 major digital economy projects during the opening ceremony, signaling significant progress in the city's digital transformation journey. Outstanding enterprises and initiatives were also awarded, setting benchmarks for regional digital innovation.
