As the chill of winter sets in and the temperature difference between day and night widens, Chaiqiao subdistrict in Ningbo, Zhejiang province, has become home to breathtaking scenes of advection fog in recent days.
Chaiqiao's distinctive geography, nestled between mountains and waters, provides optimal conditions for the formation of this fog. The abundant water systems nearby continuously evaporate, turning into water vapor, which, when combined with warm and moist air currents from the sea and Lujiang Waterway, contribute to the creation of the fog.
In the early morning, as this delicate veil covers the landscape, the village, with its scattered houses and rolling hills, appears partially hidden and faintly visible in the gentle morning light, resembling a hidden paradise. This rare sight not only enhances the beauty of the rural landscape but also highlights the area's unique natural charm.
