Foreign firm in NETDA establishes Red Cross Society

The inaugural meeting of the Red Cross Society of Jiangsu Oji Paper Co Ltd was held on Nov 3, marking the establishment of the first grassroots Red Cross organization within a foreign-funded enterprise in the Nantong Economic and Technological Development Zone.

Jiang Yinghua, vice-president of Haimen district Red Cross Society, highlighted the significance of this milestone during the meeting, emphasizing its importance in promoting humanitarian work in the area.

Zhong Jie, vice-president of the Nantong Red Cross Society, expressed strong support for the initiative. He encouraged the district's Red Cross Society to assist Oji Paper in building a model Red Cross organization, enhancing its influence and appeal within the company.

Looking ahead, the district's Red Cross Society plans to use this achievement as a foundation for expanding grassroots Red Cross organizations into new industries and sectors. By doing so, it aims to strengthen its role as a humanitarian partner for the government and local communities.
