At 20:50 on Nov 22, following the completion of the full voltage impulse test on the main transformer, the first 35kV prefabricated substation in Gansu province, constructed using prefabricated cabin technology, was officially energized and put into operation in Yangxiang village, Huangcheng, Sunan Yugu autonomous county, Zhangye city.
It is reported that the 35kV Yangxiang substation site is located 2,283m above sea level and covers an area of 1.204 mu. The total investment for the Huangcheng Yangxiang 35kV prefabricated substation project stands at 10.83 million yuan. The final scale of the main transformer is 2x2 MVA, with two outgoing lines for 35kV and four for 10kV. The indoor inflatable switchgear in the prefabricated cabin is arranged in a single row, and the secondary part is designed as an unattended substation with microcomputer-integrated automation. Prefabricated substations offer several advantages, including standardized design, modular combination, industrial production, intensive construction, high technological content, low resource consumption, reduced environmental pollution and refined construction. In this phase, a new 2 MVA main transformer will be constructed, with a voltage level of 35/10kV, one incoming line for 35kV, and two outgoing lines for 10kV. Both 35kV and 10kV systems will utilize prefabricated indoor inflatable switch cabinets. This will primarily address the residential and electric heating power consumption issues in Yangxiang village, Huangcheng town, Sunan county, effectively eliminating the issues of long 0.4kV line radii and low terminal voltage in the area.
To thoroughly address the electricity usage challenges faced by 396 households in Yangxiang village, the State Grid Jinchang Power Supply Company incorporated this project into Jinchang's "14th Five-Year Plan (2021-25)" grid development strategy in September 2021. The project was then submitted to the provincial company for approval, with construction scheduled to commence in the second half of 2023. The company places great emphasis on this project, and during the construction phase, leaders at various levels have been consistently present on site, providing guidance and oversight. This has helped to further enhance the overall coordination and control of the project, refine the power supply strategy, and guarantee the safe, efficient, and timely completion of all tasks. Before the commencement of operations, the Yongchang county branch organized a work advancement meeting, adhering to the company's start-up acceptance standards. The meeting primarily reviewed the "Acceptance Rules" and "Start-Up Plan," and made arrangements for safety supervision during the acceptance and start-up phases. At the commissioning site, the county branch's power transmission, transformation, and distribution teams meticulously inspected the safety facilities and directed professionals to thoroughly check the equipment following the acceptance rules, thereby ensuring flawless start-up operations.
The prefabricated substation is an intensive substation composed of environmentally friendly and intelligent modular units. The buildings and equipment in the substation are manufactured in factories. They are assembled and constructed according to the principles of systematicness, safety, reliability, easy maintenance, and integration. Since the beginning of this year, the company has accelerated the implementation of key engineering projects and promoted the digital transformation and upgrading of equipment. The newly put into operation 110kV Longquan Substation and 35kV Yangxiang Substation have both adopted the most advanced equipment and technology. The digital and intelligent level of substations has been continuously improved, laying a solid foundation for the high-quality development of the Jinchang Power Grid.
