Fifteen enterprises in Ningbo, Zhejiang province, have been honored as provincial-level green and low-carbon factories in 2024, as announced by the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Economy and Information Technology.
Among the recognized companies is Xiangshan Hailuo Cement Co Ltd. Through the implementation of micro-innovations and cutting-edge energy management strategies, the company has consistently achieved reductions in energy consumption.
"Leveraging technological advancements, we annually process and repurpose 320,000 metric tons of fly ash, 200,000 tons of desulfurized gypsum, 260,000 tons of powder, alongside various other industrial waste materials,” said a spokesman at the company.
To date, the company has effectively managed more than 10.6 million tons of industrial waste, showcasing its unwavering dedication to environmental stewardship and sustainable industrial practices.
In addition, Ningbo Jiangbei High-Tech Industrial Park has clinched a place on the provincial-level low-carbon industrial park list.
Since 2017, Ningbo has amassed a total of 71 nationally acclaimed green factories, putting the city in second place among cities of its level nationwide.
Green and low-carbon factories and industrial parks stand as pivotal pillars within the framework of the green manufacturing system. These establishments epitomize advanced facilities that prioritize land intensification, benign raw materials, pristine production processes, efficient waste recycling, and the adoption of low-carbon energy solutions.
