In recent years, Southwest China's Guizhou province has been striving to become a world-class tourist destination by focusing on resources, tourists, and services.

In 2023, Guizhou ranked first nationwide in both tourism revenue and number of visitors. During the first three quarters of this year, the province's culture and tourism sectors continued to heat up, with total tourist numbers and tourism revenue increasing by 11.0 percent and 14.8 percent, respectively.

As winter arrives and most parts of the country enter the tourism off-season, Guizhou's winter tourism remains vibrant.

Recognized globally as a kingdom of sedimentary rocks and karst landscapes, Guizhou's unique and complex geological structure has endowed it with abundant geothermal resources, making it one of China's top provinces in terms of abundance of hot springs. Data shows that Guizhou boasts over 300 hot springs, each with its own unique features to meet the diverse needs of different groups.

Guizhou is currently enriching its tourism offerings by integrating hot springs with ice and snow, music and gourmet food, forming a distinctive winter tourism model that combines health, wellness, vacation, and tourism sports.

In recent years, Guizhou has given full play to its unique geographical advantages, developing winter skiing projects and emerging as a hot spot in winter sports tourism.
