Guizhou International Alcoholic Beverage Expo Co set a new Guinness World Record for the most varieties of alcohol on display in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on Nov 29.
The event attracted alcohol enthusiasts, industry elites, and numerous media representatives. After a certification process lasting five and a half hours, the record was confirmed: 16,999 different alcoholic products from over 100 countries and regions around the world were showcased.
The goal of the event was to strengthen the leadership of the China (Guizhou) International Alcoholic Beverage Expo in the global alcohol industry through a concentrated display of alcoholic beverages from around the world.
The showcased products spanned multiple categories, including red wine, beer, baijiu, pre-mixed cocktails, and collectible spirits, with each variety embodying the cultural essence and history of its place of origin. The event was a profound tribute to global alcohol culture.
The authoritative certification by Guinness shows the growing international influence of Guizhou's alcohol industry and is expected to boost the globalization of the China (Guizhou) International Alcoholic Beverage Expo.
