Seminar on new round of mineral exploration strategy held in Guiyang

A training seminar on a new round of mineral exploration in Guizhou during the 15th Five-Year Plan Period (2026-30) was held in Guiyang, capital of Guizhou province, on Nov 28.

The seminar featured experts from the Ministry of Natural Resources, the China Geological Survey, and various other fields.

It focused on national geological survey plans, the new national mineral exploration strategy, the drafting of China's mineral resources, and the progress and future plans for Guizhou's new mineral exploration strategy during the 15th Five-Year Plan period.

The aim of the seminar was to develop a high-quality team of geological exploration professionals, enhance comprehensive geological exploration capabilities, and thoroughly plan the new mineral exploration strategy for Guizhou during the 15th Five-Year Plan period.

It was noted during the seminar that since 2021, the national new round of mineral exploration strategy has been initiated, with Guizhou being the first province to substantively start geological exploration work.

To date, 165 exploration projects have been implemented in Guizhou using provincial funds, achieving significant breakthroughs in advantageous mineral resources exploration and innovative exploration techniques, as well as expanding new exploration areas.
