Notice on selection of Guilin's renowned mountains, gardens, scenic spots

Guilin, a world-famous city celebrated for its stunning natural landscapes, was one China's first cities to be designated a historical and cultural city. For centuries, the city's breathtaking scenery and rich cultural heritage have coexisted in harmony, creating a unique allure.

To further explore and highlight the distinctive value of Guilin's natural beauty and cultural history, this selection aims to enhance public appreciation of Guilin's identity, link iconic cultural and tourism attractions, and develop new, easily promotable cultural tourism brands. The initiative supports Guilin's aspiration to become a world-class tourist destination.  

The selection process adheres to the principles of openness, fairness, and impartiality. It includes initial evaluation, online voting, and expert reviews to finalize the first list of Guilin's renowned mountains, gardens, and scenic spots, which will be announced publicly.  

The initial list of candidates has been released following the preliminary evaluation stage, and online voting will be open for 7 days.  

Each WeChat account is limited to one vote during the voting period, which is from Nov 27 to Dec 3. Voters may select as many options as they want from the categories of mountains, gardens, and scenic spots. If your preferred choice is not on the preliminary list, you may specify it under the "Other" option within each category.  

The organizers will have the final say over how the voting results are interpreted.
