The "Happiness Is Here" themed visit, organized by the Human Rights Development and Exchange Center of the Publicity Department of CPC Central Committee, took place from Nov 25 to 29 in Jilin province. Over 20 media professionals and influencers explored the vibrant culture and community initiatives of various locations.
The journey began in Yanji's Danying Community, where visitors experienced the unique fusion of ethnic cultures in this 0.8-square-kilometer hub of diversity. Participants were captivated by traditional Korean dance performances, and some even joined in. A Tanzanian participant remarked, "I love the warmth here and enjoyed dancing with the locals."
Visitors marveled at the Korean Folk Culture Park's colorful cuisine and decor. Many donned traditional attire, with one Turkish participant commenting, "The costumes are stunning and surprisingly comfortable."
The group then visited the Chang'an Community in Hunchun, which has over 6,700 residents from multiple ethnic backgrounds. Initiatives such as distributing surplus breakfasts to low-income families and mobilizing local delivery workers to solve neighborhood problems were highlighted as examples of innovative and inclusive governance.
This visit is part of an ongoing series showcasing human rights achievements in China's ethnic and border regions, strengthening cross-cultural understanding and appreciation.
