International passengers who enter or temporarily enter China from Wuxi Shuofang Airport in Jiangsu province have been able to fill in their arrival cards online since Oct 24, local media reported.

They can fill out the card with their mobile phones in advance, save the generated QR code or take a screenshot, and then scan the QR code at the self-service arrival card machine. After waiting approximately 15 seconds, a printed version will be issued, according to Bi Cheng, a policeman from the Wuxi border inspection station.

For those who have not completed the online declaration, it can be done upon arrival at the entry site using the self-service machine to complete both the declaration and printing.

The machine currently supports 14 languages, including Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean, Burmese, Malay, German, Italian, Arabic, and Spanish.

The generated QR code can be directly used at ports in Urumqi and Khorgos in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, Ruili and Hekou in Yunnan province, Harbin in Heilongjiang province, Zhongshan in Guangdong province, Xi'an in Shaanxi province, Shijiazhuang in Hebei province, and other locations without the need for repeated declarations.

Travelers are advised to save the first QR code they generate. When using the arrival card again, they can scan the QR code and the information will be automatically filled in.
