From Nov 23 to 25, Gansu province experienced its first widespread snowfall of the winter season, transforming the province into a stunning winter wonderland. Amid the falling snow, famous landmarks took on a poetic beauty, attracting residents and tourists who paused to admire and capture these remarkable scenes.
However, the heavy snowfall has posed challenges to transportation and raised safety concerns. To ensure road accessibility and public safety, multiple districts in Gansu swiftly activated emergency response plans. Traffic management departments deployed full staff to conduct vehicle guidance and snow removal operations. On highways and major arterial roads, large snow removal vehicles operated continuously to clear accumulated snow. Meanwhile, traffic officers stationed at key intersections maintained orderly vehicle flow.
Sanitation workers and community volunteers, equipped with shovels and brooms, cleared snow from neighborhood roads and residential areas to facilitate resident mobility. Children made the most of the winter joy, engaging in skiing, snowball fights, and snowman building activities.
