The 2024 World Forest Products and Wood Products Exhibition was held from Nov 23 to 25 in Nanning, South China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region.
The event covered 50,000 square meters and featured 13 exhibition areas, including engineered wood, furniture and home furnishings, under-forest economy, and forestry machinery. More than 1,000 exhibitors participated, showcasing over 20,000 products.
The Guizhou pavilion collaborated with 19 forestry enterprises, bringing various high-quality forestry products to the exhibition. The province showcased its advanced technologies and latest achievements in special forestry, woody oil plants, under-forest economy, forest food, forest tourism, and flowers and seedlings.
In recent years, Guizhou has developed forestry industries such as woody oil plants and the under-forest economy, transforming its natural resources into valuable assets. The total output value of forestry and grassland in the province increased from 337.8 billion yuan ($46.54 billion) in 2020 to 425.9 billion yuan in 2023, a 26.08-percent increase year over year.
Guizhou has numerous forestry product processing enterprises that cover food, materials, tourism, and cultural creativity. These enterprises have emerged as leaders in providing high-quality products, promoting the transformation and upgrading of the forestry industry, and effectively increasing the income of forestry farmers.
Guizhou not only showcased its achievements in the forestry industry but also sought more cooperation and exchange opportunities. It aimed to attract investment and technology, introduce advanced management concepts, and boost the province's forestry and grassland industry development.
