A delegation from the Nantong Economic and Technological Development Area, or NETDA – located in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province – visited South Korea and Singapore on Nov 10-15 to promote investment opportunities in its key industries such as semiconductors, new energy and smart manufacturing.
During the trip, the delegation held talks with 15 companies, associations, and institutions to boost collaboration and attract investments.
In South Korea, delegation members met with semiconductors equipment manufacturers to discuss potential projects and encourage investment.
Over the ensuing days, they went to semiconductors firms to showcase NETDA's business-friendly environment and to expedite the implementation of projects related to automated transport equipment, wafer-cutting equipment and chip inspection tools.
The delegation also met up with major organizations, such as the Global Strategy Development Institute of the LG Group, to gain insights into South Korean investment trends in China.
In Singapore, delegation members met with companies that have invested in NETDA – such as Spindex and AGS – to accelerate the progress of their new projects in Nantong. They also reached out to potential investors, inviting them to visit the area and assess opportunities firsthand.
In addition, the delegation deepened its partnerships with organizations such as the Singapore Manufacturing Federation and other consulting firms to further expand collaboration.
The visits highlighted NETDA's attractive business environment, strategic location and significant development potential.
As a result, four companies – including a South Korean semiconductors equipment firm and a Singaporean smart manufacturing company – scheduled trips to NETDA in the coming months to conduct further talks.
