The Zhejiang International Engineering Expo concluded on Nov 21, marking a key step in bolstering Sino-Saudi cooperation in the construction and engineering sectors.
Held over four days, the event featured a unified Zhejiang pavilion with 10 companies and 20 representatives participating across a 105-square-meter exhibit space.
Businesses from Zhejiang engaged with over 920 professional visitors from 12 countries and regions, resulting in intended deals valued at $5.7 million.
Saudi Arabia's ongoing efforts to diversify its economy through ambitious development plans in various sectors have created significant opportunities for collaboration. This growth, particularly in the construction industry, aligns well with Zhejiang's global ambitions and capabilities.
In 2023, Zhejiang's overseas contracting sector achieved substantial progress, with newly signed contracts reaching $4.92 billion, up 7.4 percent year-on-year, and completed revenue of $6.94 billion, an 8.4 percent increase.
This year, the Department of Commerce of Zhejiang Province organized three international exhibitions in Mexico, Indonesia, and Saudi Arabia.
