Leaders in innovaton from countries including the UK, Germany, France, Canada, Australia, Singapore, Indonesia, and Malaysia visited the Nantong National High-tech Industrial Development Zone for an international exchange on science and technology.
Wu Tiantian, general manager of Jiangsu Xinju Environmental Protection Technology Co Ltd, shared his entrepreneurial journey during the event. A graduate of Kanagawa University in Japan, Wu started his business in Nantong in December 2016. He has since been included in Tongzhou district's "510 Talent Program" and Nantong's "Jianghai Talent Program". Speaking about his experience, Wu noted, "The strategic location and business-friendly environment of NHIZ have greatly supported our company's growth. Over the course of just three to four years, our sales have exceeded 200 million yuan ($27.62 million)."
The event also featured project presentations by 10 overseas entrepreneurs. Among them was Evoke, a Canadian tech-driven electric motorcycle manufacturer founded in 2016 by motorcycle enthusiasts from Canada and Europe. Specializing in modular batteries and ultra-fast charging, Evoke has secured road certifications in 25 countries and sales licenses in 64.
A project representative surnamed Shi shared his impressions, saying, "This is my first visit to NHIZ, and I'm impressed by its beautiful environment and the comprehensive automotive and new energy industrial chains. It aligns perfectly with our products. I'd love to invest and establish operations here if the opportunity arises."
As a key industrial hub and innovation leader in Nantong, NHIZ has prioritized attracting top talent in recent years. By optimizing talent recruitment policies, increasing funding, and supporting enterprise innovation, the zone has attracted numerous high-quality projects, cementing its reputation as a hotspot for global innovation.
