Shanghai's Hongqiao area is fostering deeper global connections to become an international hub for opening up.

The High Quality Talent Exchange Platform (HQTP), a distinctive brand of the Shanghai Human Resources Service Industrial Park in the Hongqiao area, recently made its second appearance at the China International Import Expo (CIIE).

The park has attracted 260 HR service companies, generating over 15 billion yuan ($2.07 billion) in revenue. Leading companies like ManpowerGroup and CDP Group have set up operations here, creating a comprehensive industrial chain to meet diverse HR service needs.

Emphasizing "bringing in and going out", HQTP facilitates connectivity between the supply and demand sides of human resources services. It aims to build a one-stop human resources service platform, fostering a global talent pool.

Near the CIIE venue, Building B of the Hongqiao Import Commodity Exhibition and Trade Center, also known as Hongqiao Pinhui, has recently opened. It aims to become a high-end industrial product launch platform connecting domestic and international businesses, serving enterprises in their efforts to "go out" and "bring in" through exhibitions.

During the seventh CIIE, it hosted an exhibition focusing on the future of mobility, providing a platform for companies, products, and technologies to connect, promote, and engage in international trade.

As the main platform for Shanghai to extend and amplify the spillover effects of the CIIE, Hongqiao Pinhui operates as a year-round exhibition and trading platform. This integrated platform for domestic and international trade continuously nurtures new business models, explores new modes, and discovers new driving forces.

The Hongqiao comprehensive transportation hub stands out as another significant advantage of the area. As a global gateway, the Shanghai Hongqiao International Central Business District's headquarters economy is increasingly concentrated. It is not only the choice for regional headquarters of multinational companies but also an ideal option for enterprises from the Yangtze River Delta region and across the country. By the end of September, over 26,000 enterprises had settled in the area, including 269 headquarters and 19 regional headquarters of multinational companies.
