Jinan, capital of East China's Shandong province, launched its first air route connecting the city to Xi'an in Shaanxi province and Sydney in Australia on August 31, which was marked by the arrival of flight MU763 at Jinan Yaoqiang International Airport.
The route operates three times a week, with round-trip flight numbers MU 763 or MU 764. Outbound flights are on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, departing from Xi'an at 15:35, arriving in Jinan at 17:15, and then departing Jinan at 19:05 to arrive in Sydney at 6:30 the following day. Return flights are on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, departing Sydney at 9:20 and arriving in Jinan at 21:25. The flight then departs from Jinan at 23:00 and arrives in Xi'an at 1:00 the next day.
The launch of the route will help promote connections among the cities of Xi'an, Jinan, and Sydney, strengthen ties among these regions and inject new vitality into economic development among these regions. In addition, the new air link offers an avenue for deepening cooperation and exchanges between China and Australia in tourism, business, education.
