Thousands of swans find home at Shanxi's Shengtian Lake

"So far, we have observed more than 500 swans gathering at the lake, and it is expected to peak at tens of thousands in December," said Cui Liang, a staff member of the Shengtian Lake Scenic Area. "They will gradually leave until the end of February or early March next year."

"We have made a series of preparations before the swans arrived," said Cui. "We leveled the sandy beach area where the swans live and fenced off the area where the swans live, separating the tourists from the swans."

"We have also arranged for staff members to regularly patrol the environment where the swans live," he added.
