The annual New Year's concert in Nantong, Jiangsu province, is about to begin with the Polish Philharmonic Orchestra performing at the Nantong Grand Theater on Dec 26, bringing an unforgettable musical feast to residents.
The Polish Philharmonic Orchestra's inaugural symphony concert was held in 1945. Over the years, the orchestra has been famous in Poland and frequently toured in various concert halls across Europe and Asia, earning widespread acclaim.
The renowned Polish conductor, Adam Klocek, is set to conduct the New Year's concert in Nantong. As a versatile individual, Adam is not only a conductor but also a cellist, composer, and professor. He was a Grammy Award winner in 2014 and was described by the late Polish conducting master Krzysztof Penderecki as "one of the most promising young conductors of the new generation". Under his baton, the Polish Philharmonic Orchestra is poised to present a high-level symphonic performance for the audience.
The concert program is diverse, covering over a dozen classical masterpieces from Western and Eastern traditions. Alongside these classic pieces, the audience is anticipated to carry the blessings of the New Year as they embark on new journeys.
