The event leveraged SPIRIOCAST to link venues across Beijing, with simultaneous concerts held at the Beijing Arts Center and Beijing City Library, connecting in real-time with the Central Conservatory of Music, Zhejiang Conservatory of Music, and all Steinway stores and SPIRIO|r users across Asia-Pacific. Lang Lang captivated audiences with a series of performances broadcast live from the Beijing City Library. Thanks to SPIRIOCAST technology, audiences at the Beijing Arts Center, the conservatories, and other locations could enjoy the performances as if they were sitting next to Lang Lang himself, watching his expressions and gestures in high-definition.
Wei Wei, President of Steinway APAC, remarked, "The debut of SPIRIOCAST in the Asia-Pacific highlights Steinway's enduring allure and commitment to innovation, as well as our promise to serve China. SPIRIOCAST enables artists and audiences to transcend space and time, fostering a shared musical experience and deepening cultural resonance. Steinway is proud to continue working with China's arts community to enhance lives and enrich hearts through music, paving new pathways in arts education."
The gala concert also featured performances by young pianists, winners of the Steinway National Youth Piano Competition, showcasing their technical and stylistic range for audiences in both venues. Steinway's Chief of Technology and Innovation, Eric Feidner, presented the full spectrum of SPIRIOCAST's capabilities, envisioning how it will shape the future of music and live performance for a new era.
