Pang Xunqin (1906-1985), Lei Guiyuan (1906-1988), Zheng Ke (1906-1987), Wu Guanzhong (1919-2010) and Chang Shana (b. 1931) are five visionary artists who led the way in China’s early modern art and design. After studying in France, the five brought modernist ideas back to China, shaping fields of painting, architecture, graphic design, furniture and crafts.

Now, the Tsinghua University Art Museum’s new exhibition, “The Modernization of ‘Decorative Arts’”, dives into their groundbreaking achievements and their lasting influence on the modernization of Chinese art. Don’t miss it.

Dates: Until Feb 16
