Shandong province took huge strides this year to attract and retain young top talent. By implementing a range of measures, the province successfully created a more attractive environment for young professionals to start their careers.
To facilitate the recruitment process, Shandong has established a grid-based service system that coordinates efforts at the provincial, municipal, and county levels. This system provides targeted support to key employers and helps them attract and retain young talent.
The province has also been proactive in promoting job opportunities and related policies and has provided over 210,000 high-quality positions for young talents.
Additionally, Shandong has organized more than 800 recruitment events in collaboration with renowned universities such as Peking University, Tsinghua University, and Harbin Institute of Technology.
These efforts have paid off, with Shandong attracting 635,700 young talents in the first three quarters of this year, representing a 6.3 percent year-on-year increase. The number of PhDs recruited also grew by 13 percent, surpassing 4,000.
To further enhance its talent pool, Shandong has organized over 50 overseas job fairs, attracting more than 100,000 overseas students.
These initiatives demonstrate Shandong's commitment to building a thriving talent ecosystem that can drive the province's future development.
