The Tai'an Municipal Bureau of Commerce held the first session of the 2024 Tai'an (Guangzhou) Autumn Trade Matchmaking Conference in Guangzhou on Oct 18, aiming to build a bridge for in-depth negotiations between Tai'an's foreign trade enterprises and buyers from various countries.
Attendees included deputy secretary-general of the European American Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mustakim Adiev, deputy director of the Foreign Trade Division of the Department of Commerce of Shandong Province Wang Yan, and deputy director of the Tai'an Municipal Bureau of Commerce Yuan Qing.
Throughout its 20-year history, the European American Chamber of Commerce and Industry is a global non-governmental organization that has promoted substantive economic and trade exchanges among its 170,000 merchants worldwide.
During the matchmaking conference, Yuan introduced the economic and social development of Tai'an's key industries to the international buyers and invited representatives of international buyers to visit Tai'an for on-site inspections and investment. A promotional video about investing in Tai'an was also played at the event.
The first session of the trade matchmaking conference invited more than 60 overseas buyers and organized nearly 60 foreign trade enterprises from Tai'an to participate in the matchmaking.
Matchmaking made beforehand brought together many enterprises such as Shandong Anshecl Machinery and Ropenet Group who independently promoted the advantages of their products. During this matchmaking conference, Tai'an's enterprises reached preliminary cooperation intentions with over 10 procurement groups, with an intended transaction volume of approximately 2 million dollars.
