The Academic Seminar on China's School of Mind and the World was held at the Confucian Academy in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on Oct 26.
With the tagline "Passing the flame of civilization, forging a brighter future", more than 30 domestic and foreign experts and scholars from nine countries, namely China, the US, South Korea, Vietnam, Japan, Germany, Italy, Australia and Zimbabwe, provided valuable insights into the transformation and application of Chinese Confucianism and Yangming culture in the new era, injecting new vitality into cultural preservation and development.
The event focused on topics such as how to promote the transformation and application of Yangming culture and how to break through language barriers, cultural differences, and institutional constraints. Experts and scholars shared the latest developments in their respective research fields from the perspectives of the past, present, and future, aiming to enhance understanding, build consensus and deepen cooperation through academic collaboration and cultural exchanges.
Yangming's theory of mind is the essence of traditional Chinese culture born in Guizhou. With firm cultural confidence and a strong sense of responsibility and mission, Guizhou held this academic seminar to offer a platform for spreading Yangming culture around the world.
