As of Oct 27, Hangzhou International Airport in Xiaoshan district has handled over 40 million passengers this year, reaching this milestone 56 days earlier than last year and making it the eighth airport in China to surpass this figure this year.

This year, Hangzhou added or resumed eight international routes to destinations including Sapporo, Vientiane, Ho Chi Minh City, Chiang Mai, Kalibo, Nagoya, Shizuoka, and Melbourne. On Nov 17, it will also launch a direct route to Tashkent, Uzbekistan, offering convenient travel to Central Asia. Cargo flights will cover major global economic hubs with new and resumed routes that include Mexico City, Vancouver, Miami, and Osaka.
With the winter-spring schedule now in effect, Hangzhou International Airport has added domestic flights, with over 30 daily flights to key cities like Beijing, Guangzhou, Chengdu, and Shenzhen. Projections estimate that the airport will serve 48 million passengers, handle 730,000 tons of cargo, and facilitate 320,000 flights by year-end.
