Shandong stages vocational heritage skills contest in Qufu

Qufu recently launched the Shandong Province Vocational Skills Competition, featuring the 2024 Shandong Cultural Heritage Vocational Skills Competition and the 2025 National Cultural Heritage Industry Vocational Skills Competition Shandong Selection.

Themed "preserving cultural heritage and promoting the spirit of craftsmanship" and "inheriting ingenuity of Qilu", the competition encompasses categories on the restoration of six mediums: wood, masonry, paintings, metallurgy, ceramics, and calligraphy, as well as a category for archaeological excavations.
