The Ningbo International Tourism Expo is returning this year with a three-day showcase of diverse travel offerings and immersive experiences.
The expo is set to take place from Oct 25 to 27 in Hall 2 of the Ningbo International Conference and Exhibition Center. This year, the exhibition will debut alongside the 9th Zhejiang Book Fair and the 2024 Maritime Silk Road Culture and Tourism Expo, creating a comprehensive showcase of cultural and tourism offerings from across China and beyond.
Since its inception in 2014, the Ningbo International Tourism Expo has grown in popularity and influence, becoming a well-known consumer exhibition in the tourism industry. This year's exhibition will cover an area of approximately 4,400 square meters, featuring 19 specially designed pavilions and 54 standard exhibition stands. The expo aims to showcase the diverse range of tourism industries in Ningbo and beyond, including travel agencies, scenic spots, hotels, homestays, camping, airlines, cuisine, and rural tourism.
Visitors to the exhibition can expect a one-stop "journey" across China, with over 100 cultural tourism institutions and businesses participating. Cities such as Nanjing, Jinan, Chengdu, Kunming, and more will be represented, showcasing their unique tourism offerings. Cities like Kuqa, Xinjiang and Tianjun, Qinghai will bring their local agricultural products, tourist routes, and cultural performances, providing visitors with a glimpse into their rich cultural heritage and natural landscapes.
In addition to the diverse range of tourism offerings, the expo will offer significant discounts on travel products. Major travel agencies such as Ningbo International Travel Service, Zhejiang Chunqiu Holiday International Travel Agency, and Zhejiang Daren Tourism will promote hundreds of outbound and domestic tour packages, while airlines such as China Eastern and Spring Airlines will offer nearly 60 special fare flights. These promotions aim to make travel more accessible and affordable for visitors.
Moreover, the expo will feature a series of immersive experiences that will allow visitors to fully engage with the tourism offerings. The food area will showcase local cuisine from different regions, while the rural tourism pavilion will offer activities such as camping, farming, and more. Additionally, the exhibition will feature technology-infused cultural tourism experiences, such as interactive installations and online platforms that offer special discounts on cultural and tourism products.
