Dieshiqiao in Sanxing town, Nantong's Haimen district, has secured the leading position in the global home textile industry after years of development.
From 1980 to the present, the home textiles made in Dieshiqiao have been exported to more than 130 countries and regions, accounting for over 50 percent of the market in China.
In 2002, Dieshiqiao ushered in a new development phase with the operation of the China Dieshiqiao International Home Textiles City, which houses over 6,000 stalls of more than 200 varieties.
The home textile industry in Dieshiqiao is now exploring a new development pattern featuring market procurement trade, cross-border e-commerce, overseas warehouses, and industrial belts.
The market procurement trade in the area has exceeded $9 billion over the past nine years, and the export value through cross-border e-commerce has surpassed $30 million over the years, leading to the establishment of seven overseas warehouses by local companies.
Jiangsu Dieshiqiao Home Textiles Industry Group established its first pilot overseas warehouse in Germany last year. Close to Amsterdam, Netherlands, Antwerp, Belgium, and other essential port cities in Europe, the warehouse allows the enterprise to deliver its products to any European country within 72 hours.
In recent years, Dieshiqiao has captured the interest of international entrepreneurs due to its competitive industry. Moreover, an increasing number of expatriates have actively participated in foreign trade within the region, serving as friendly envoys for Chinese home textiles in global markets.
